10/20/2005 - New MMA executive committee, board members take office

Moon, president and CEO. MMA’s 2005-2006 executive committee took office following the regular board meeting held Oct. 19, 2005, at the MMA offices in Jackson. The October board meeting is usually held in conjunction with the annual convention, but this years convention, originally scheduled for Oct. 5-8, was canceled due to Hurricane Katrina. Members of MMA’s 2005-2006 executive committee are as follows:

• Chairman - Bob Baughn, human resources manager, Tower Automotive, Madison.
• Chairman-elect Tommy Dulaney, president & CEO Structural Steel Services, Meridian.
• Vice Chairman George Taylor, vice president of finance, Reed Manufacturing Company, Tupelo.
• Secretary-Treasurer Tony Stringer, president, Stringer Industries Inc., Tylertown.
• Past Chairman Bobby Dews, vice president, C.L. Dews & Sons Foundry Machinery Co., Hattiesburg.
• MMA President & CEO Jay C. Moon, CEcD.

Newly elected board members took office Oct. 1, 2005. Elections were held in the odd-numbered MMA districts in August. Following are the newly elected 2005-2006 directors:

• Lex Taylor, president, Taylor Machine Works, Inc., Louisville; District 3.
• Mark Grovich, director of operations, Leland Manufacturing Company LLC, Leland; District 5.
• Dennis Roberts, general manager, Weyerhauser Packaging, Inc., Magnolia; District 9.
