10/5/2005 - MCPC offers registration for contracting opportunities
Now that businesses and residents have been able to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina, our focus as a state has begun shifting toward rebuilding the areas that were affected by the storm. Many MMA members have expressed an interest in helping with the reconstruction efforts in these hard-hit areas. If you are interested in contracting with federal, state or local governments in the recovery efforts of Hurricane Katrina, you can register online with the Mississippi Contract Procurement Center (MCPC). This site maintains listings of federal, state and local government contracting opportunities for registered Mississippi companies. Participating companies receive notices of upcoming contract opportunities that relate to their product offering. There is no charge to participate. To register on the MCPC site, visit www.mscpc.com and click the “Client Application” tab. Once you have submitted your registration, you will be contacted by MCPC and provided with a client login and password. MCPC is a private, non-profit corporation that assists Mississippi businesses with obtaining and successfully performing on federal, state and local government contracts. MCPC is a statewide network of procurement technical assistance centers with regional centers strategically located throughout the state.
