4/2/2007 - Northeast Mississippi Job Fair Set for April 26

The Office of Work-based Learning and Job Placement at East Mississippi Community College has announced that the 2007 Northeast Mississippi Job Fair will be held April 26 at the Lyceum on the Golden Triangle Campus of East Mississippi Community College. As part of the Governor’s Job Fair Network, the Northeast Mississippi Job Fair consistently attracts between 30 and 40 employers from Mississippi and its contiguous states, as well as colleges and universities from across Mississippi. You are invited to register and be part of this year’s event. Similar to the past several years, the Job Fair will be open to only students from East Mississippi Community College, Mississippi State University and Mississippi University for Women during the morning session — approximately 10 a.m. until noon. In the afternoon — usually 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. — the Job Fair will be open to the general public and students. Between 400-500 job seekers from the Golden Triangle and all across Northeast Mississippi are expected to attend. The registration fee is $100 per employer/vendor. The paid registration fee will reserve a booth location with electrical and Internet connections (wireless connectivity also available; please specify) and morning refreshments and a “sit down” boxed lunch for two employer/vendor representatives. In order to properly plan for this event it will be necessary for all paid registrations to be received on or before Monday, April 16, 2007.
