Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission Sets Weekly Maximum Benefit

Effective January 1, 2017, the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission increased the maximum weekly indemnity benefit from $454.42 to $477.82. 

Injured workers on total disability receive two-thirds of their average weekly wage capped at two-thirds of the statewide average weekly wage for the previous year. The Commission also stated in a regulatory notice that the maximum lifetime disability benefit will increase from $204,489 to $215,019 this year.
